Graduate Exhibition
This was a Typography 5 case study where I was asked to design a set of three posters for the 2012 Grad Exhibition. The requirement was to use the text provided and take our own photos of the Sharp Center. There was a different challenge for each poster that I was asked to conquer. The first poster I was required to only use one typeface and one treatment to communicate my message. I relied on hierarchy and placement to guide the eye.
The second poster I was allowed to utilize two typographic tools so I explored
the contrast of size and weight in order to effectively bring attention to the most important elements.
For the final poster, I was encouraged to think outside the box so I went ahead and bought coloured acetate and cut out the letters. I then photographed my letters on a cheap lightbox and played around with composition.
